THE INDIAN SUCCESSION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2002.
ACT NO. 26 OF 2002.
[27th May, 2002.]
An Act further to amend the Indian Succession Act, 1925.
BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1.Short title.
This Act may be called the Indian Succession (Amendment) Act, 2002.
2.Amendment of section 32.
In section 32 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 (39 of 1925) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), the Explanation shall be omitted.
3.Amendment of section 213.
In section 213 of the principal Act, in sub-section (2), after the word "Muhammadans", the words "or Indian Christians" shall be inserted.
