A Committee of Secretaries (CoS) is meeting tomorrow to discuss the security concerns raised by the National Security Council (NSC) regarding foreign investment inflows into the country.

The CoS, headed by the Cabinet Secretary, will discuss the “funding options through FDI, Participatory Notes (PN), etc in the sensitive sectors and would dwell on other security matters raised by the NSC,” an official source told The Indian Express.

The Ministry of Finance, the Corporate Affairs Ministry, the Commerce Ministry, RBI, Sebi and the Ministry of Home Affairs, among others, would be attending the meeting.

The source said the issues related to FDI have already been taken up by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) and those related to cross-border mergers and acquisitions have been taken up by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
