New Delhi, December 19(ANI): Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, on Friday, expressed displeasure over the loss of working hours in the parliament due to lawmakers resorting to protests and walkouts instead of participating in debates. The Telangana issue has been stalling the Lok Sabha since Thursday with members from Andhra Pradesh holding placards and shouting slogans in the well of the House.

Lok Sabha proceedings have also been disrupted during the session over other issues like the sugarcane ordinance, Liberhan Commission report and price rise.

Dear friends,

The statement by LS Speaker is really appreciable as valuable time is lost in parliament in discussing these issues and much more such as the Goa minister’s statement etc. Why why? Don’t you think we must all stand together and strongly condemn the politicians actions. What happened to the Companies Bill? Why was it deferred to the Budget session? How long will they keep fine tuning the Bill? Every bill finds time except the Co’s Bill. It’s 16 lomg years if I can recall for a full overhaul of the Act.  The main reason for wasting time with long speeches has been none other than the leader of the opposition (grand old man now steped down) who always gives lectures for a full day in chaste hindi on some controversial subject esp....to do with religion. Added to it, enough politicians to kindle him and make him talk.

We professionals have to agitate at aapropriate forum and make them work effectively. Let the Parliament take up the key economic bills which would foster the economic development of the country.  Please express your views

Best regards

Sudhir Anand
